Robert Weinberg (1946-2016) was an American author, editor, and publisher, renowned for his contributions to the fields of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Born in New Jersey, Weinberg displayed an early passion for literature, which led him to establish his own publishing company, Weinberg Books, in 1967. Throughout his career, he authored over 30 novels and short story collections, including The Devil's Auction and The Black Lodge. He also published the fanzine Pulp from 1970-1981, worked as a house editor August Derleth's famed Arkham House, and wrote for Marvel Comics.

Weinberg's keen eye for talent allowed him to promote emerging authors in the genre, cementing his status as a luminary in speculative fiction. A tireless advocate for the literary community, Weinberg co-founded the Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention and received the Bram Stoker Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
